Who it's for

Blacksky for nonprofits and community organizations

The problem

Community organizations hold knowledge people need: how to get help, how to take part, what a program offers, what happened and why. That knowledge is usually spread across a website, documents and a few people who know everything. When those people are busy, the questions wait.

What Blacksky does about it

Blacksky builds agents that make an organization's knowledge reachable, on the phone and on the web, in plain language and more than one language. An agent answers from the organization's own material, points people to the right program, and hands them to a person when it should. Its costs are itemized and capped, so a small organization knows what it is spending.

Blacksky also teaches. Blacksky Up is a free apprenticeship program with free courses on how language models work, so communities understand the tools, not just use them.

Relevant work

How Blacksky thinks about this work

Ubuntu: I am because we are. Blacksky builds tools that make knowledge shared rather than held, and that leave the people using them more capable than before.

A sensible first step

An agent on one program or one body of material, on the web first, where people can see the sources behind each answer. Then a phone line if the community calls more than it clicks.

Common questions

Is there a nonprofit rate? Pricing is set in the proposal; Mario can talk through what fits an organization's budget.

Can it work in Spanish? Yes, and French.

Can our volunteers run it? The dashboards are built for non-technical operators: conversations, commitments to confirm, and what people asked that the material did not cover.
